What makes a soldier sexy?

VYOOS EDITORIAL
The official magazine of the British army is called Soldier. Imaginative.
The official hairstylist of Princess Diana, Liz Hurley and David Bowie, amongst glamorous others, is Nicky Clarke.
The twain, you'd think, should ne'er meet.
But they have just met, because Soldier invited Clarke to offer advice to the British military on how to look cool, hair-wise, within the regulations and restrictions pertaining to male members of said military forces.
The rules regarding British military hair demeanour are contained within a code known as the Queen's Regulations. The short version of the code is: short. No hair on the collar. No sideburns resembling anything remotely '60s.
The editorial people at Soldier — or was it the marketing people — said they enlisted the help of Clarke after being "bombarded" with letters about hair length and appearances.
Nice pun. Nice excuse for a feature story.
