Grimshaw and the pig
June 12th 2009 00:08
The celebrity spat of the year just got juicier with the news that Tracy Grimshaw has been asked to pose nude for an erotic magazine.
In case you are not up to speed with this story, which has chased swine flu off the front pages of the less credible newspapers around the country, here's a quick review: Gordon Ramsay, a grotesque parody of a celebrity chef, was interviewed by A Current Affair, a grotesque parody of a television current affairs show, hosted by Grimshaw.
Ramsay didn't like Grimshaw's style and a day later, at a live cooking demonstration before 3,000 people, held up a picture of a nude woman on all fours with many breasts and a pig's face, and said the image was of Grimshaw.
He later apologised "unreservedly" for the "inappropriate" action, but not before the Prime Minister jumped in and called Ramsay a "low-life".
Now let's all take a deep breath and stop laughing for a minute and digest the latest twist.
Zoo Weekly, which has a web page copied straight from Britain's mindless menagerie of C-grade tabloid erotica, has offered Grimshaw $50,000 to strip for a photo shoot.
Grimshaw, showing more discernment than when she invited Ramsay to appear on her show, said no. Kevin Rudd hasn't commented, for a change. Ramsay, if asked, would no doubt appear naked with a pig if offered the same money.

Hi Morgan,
I can't speak for Norm, but this mind - great or otherwise - is not so new. I creak every time I think.
