They won't be holding Glastonbury in 2012.
Glastonbury is something of an annual incarnation of Woodstock, but offering plenty more than rock music. Held in fields in Somerset, England, Glastonbury is the biggest performing arts festival in the world. It is a shrine to contemporary music, dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret and many other arts.
Crowds of about 150,000 come annually to watch many hundreds of acts. It's a planetary entertainment force.
So what on earth, short of an invasion from space, could cause its cancellation?
The answer is Portaloos. Or, more precisely, a lack thereof.
The problem is that, as big as Glastonbury is, an even bigger gig is coming to town in 2012 - the summer Olympic Games.
And with only so many Portaloos in the country, it seems the Olympics have grabbed the lot and Glastonbury-goers wouldn't be able to go.
It's not just the Portaloos. There will be shortage of police, too, all available Bobbies being called to London to keep a look out for terrorists, Russian pickpockets and generic Australian tourists.
If only Glastonbury didn't run for several days. You can be arty-farty only for so long before you need more.
